Having lived in London for about 30 years, it is always a nice suprise to see places and buildings I haven't seen before. And today one was all the more remarkable because I have been so close on many occasions.
Today, I met my big brother for a belated birthday lunch at St James Park station. It's a funny one, as there are so many other stations around there you are more likely to use. In fact, I had to double check it actually existed as I thought my brother was mixing it up with Green Park. Well anyway, it turns out there is a St James Park station and it is is as beautiful as the scenery a short distance away.
Although originally built in 1868, there are some great Art Deco touches. I shall definitely go back there, now I know where it is, as a 2 minute walk brings you to the glorious bridge in St James Park with great views of Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and a fairy tale Castle looking building. And of course, a 10 min walk will bring you to Buckingham Palace itself.

Well the first pic is actually outside Holloway Road Station, having just received my phone after a week in repairs I was keen to take photos on it again! The second pic is St James Station, apparently the building above it is HQ for London Underground....

The entrance of which is rather bizarrely inside the station, note the beautiful art deco clock.

What else to do at lunch with bro than play with and discuss technology....

And eat burgers. This pub is The Old Star and is right opposite the entrance at Petty France, food was scrumptious so would highly recommend.
NB The photos are taken on the Pixlromatic app with Android, which is awesome and deserves a blog in itself...
