Happy New Year!
I must confess, New Year's Eve is my least favourite celebration. It just seems to me to be somewhat overrated and I never end up doing anything I feel worthy of what it actually is. My flatmates hosted a party this year and had a bunch of their friends over, I stayed for a while then abandoned it to some sewing and watching films. Dedicated that they are, they even went to see the London fireworks from Hampstead Heath, I watched the smaller local displays out of my window.
2012 was an amazing year, definitely worthy of celebrating. London was an extraodinary place to be this year with the Olympics and Jubilee. On a personal note it is the year I started getting work experience as a camera operator at a central London church and took a step towards my dream career. In which case watching films was probably quite apt way to celebrate.
What was special about 2012 for you?

Is that Red Velvet Cake, Ann?
I first tasted that in Guadeloupe - the pastor's wife there was from Texas and she made it for us.
Last summer I made a dairy free version for Evie - at a farewell to somebody party at our church.
