Breakfast for me is Tesco's Scottish Porriage Oats. All oats are not equal and I definitely prefer this brand, I have mine with half rice milk and half water. As I was growing up my (Scottish) mother always had hers with water only (I'm not a fan) and my sister with entirely milk (I'm not a fan). Mine is just right, kind of Goldilocks.
All this in a blue bowl (because the red ones are just too small) and a mug of Milicano coffee in my favourite mug. I have a Cath Kidston mug at work and at home and there is something just so comforting about their big handles and colourful patterns.
I always eat my breakfast alone, unless I am working in which case I'll wait until I get to work and eat with the charges. So Ann's photo makes me a little jealous that she has the company of those two little darlings, but she also has the mess and the stress I guess, I am not so jealous of that!
Coffee and porriage, a great way to start the day!

All porridges are not equal! I used to enjoy the Sainsburys organic but moved to their normal one as part of a budget slashing exercise... The other day we ran out and all I could get hold of was Co ops Luxury one and I did not enjoy it! The flakes were far too big! I also find that day to day the porridge comes out differently, no idea why as same process! I do like a bit of cinnamon and banana. And I got quite confused seeing my mug in your photo with coffee in it!!! Even with five in our house I tend to eat on my own in the kitchen as it is sooo cold in the living room, I like to be by the radiator! So ends my thoughts on porridge and breakfast!
