This week's diptych is inspired by Ansel Adams, a photographer famous for his sweaing and majestic landscapes, for waiting hours for the right lighting for his dedication to the craft.
We don't have so many of the majestic landscapes in south east England so I took inspiration from his black and white style and his contrasts. took this photo of the pier in Eastbourne during a photoshoot on Saturday.
I am a bit dissapointed with this picture if the truth be told, it would have been better in the day when the sky was a little less bright. I do however like the light and darks and the strong lines in my picture. As a result of this week's diptych project I brought a book about Ansel Adams which I am enjoying reading and from which, I know he would love Ann's picture, I think she has captured him beautifully in her colours and her subject.
