During the past week, whilst we've been arranging our summer guest bloggers for the Diptych Project, someone asked me - what if I don't feel inspired?
This is kind of what happened with me and this week's topic of 'market', I don't use or live near any markets in my part of London (or if I do they are only out on certain days I don't go by them.
So it was a challenge to know what fit into this remit. I was about ready to go for a close up fruit shot when I remembered this fruit stall that opens each afternoon near Finsbury Park station.
I pass this each day and I love visual routine, I love to see the same thing each day and see how it varies (hence I have lots of photos of certain places in different seasons / different light).
I love the colour of the market stall, the randomness of the produce and the outgoing market stall holder who is famous in the neighbourhood. In fact in the words of Barney Stimson, I'd say his outgoing personality and vocal projection are making him... Wait for it... 'Legend....dary!'
So the best way of solving my inspiration this week was just by picking up my camera, I wasn't really sure if this would work or how it would look. But once I stopped worrying about the final results, I was really pleased with the result.
