Well as you can imagine the last few months have gone in a haze of weddings, weddings and more weddings!
Two weeks ago, we finally did the deed and we are now husband and wife.
Now to decide what to blog about first?
And it comes to mind, maybe one of my favourite points of my wedding day, the 'first look'.
Traditionally in weddings, the bridegroom sees his bride for the first time as she walks down the aisle. Andrew and I felt a little differently about this. With a busy day of getting married and chatting to the 250 people who had made the effort to attend our wedding, we wanted a time together before the wedding.
A time to hug, pray, prepare for the day.
It was absolutely wonderful having this and was definitely one of the highlights of the day.
One of our photographers. Ann from Oh Beauty has sent us this sneak peak of the moment Andrew saw me for the first time...
To any potential brides, I couldn't recommend this enough. One argument I have heard is it would take something away from the walk down the aisle. It didn't for us, the aisle walk was another of my favourite moments, it looked like this (well according to our friend David Waddell who took these lovely photos) ...
I entered to an amazing rendition of 'Long Way Home' by Norah Jones, sung by our friend Flo, but seeing Andrew before the ceremony took away the pressure of entering the church and added a little extra something to the day. Truly amazing.
Did you have a first look before the wedding, or do you wish you had? I'd love to hear from you in the comments if so!
